The Simsbury Community Band proudly provides a scholarship of $350 to a Simsbury High School graduating senior who plans to continue their musical journey after high school as a music education major/minor, an instrumental performing major/minor or a student who simply loves music and chooses to play their instrument with a college or community group.
This scholarship is named in honor of Richard "Dick" Meyer who was been a member of the Simsbury Community Band for 50 years, since it formed in 1973.
